Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch its third-generation foldable smartphone, the Mi Mix Fold 3, in the second half of 2023. The device is expected to feature a larger display and improved performance compared to its predecessors.
The news comes from a report by Chinese publication MyDrivers, which cites industry sources. According to the report, the Mi Mix Fold 3 will feature a 7.9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1792 pixels. The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and will come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
In terms of cameras, the Mi Mix Fold 3 is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front, the device is expected to feature a 20MP selfie camera.
The Mi Mix Fold 3 is expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and will support fast charging. The device is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Mi Mix Fold 3 is expected to run on the latest version of MIUI, Xiaomi’s custom Android skin. The device is expected to be available in a range of colors, including black, white, and blue.
The Mi Mix Fold 3 is expected to be priced at around $1,000, which is significantly higher than the Mi Mix Fold 2, which was launched in 2021 for $799. However, the higher price tag is expected to be justified by the improved specs and features of the device.
Xiaomi is yet to officially confirm the launch of the Mi Mix Fold 3, but the device is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2023. The device is expected to be available in markets across the globe, including the US, Europe, and India.
The Mi Mix Fold 3 is expected to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, offering improved performance, a larger display, and a more premium design. The device is expected to be a great option for those looking for a powerful and feature-packed foldable smartphone.
