Sania Mirza, the former world number one in women’s doubles, has joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp ahead of the team’s opening match against Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2023.
The 33-year-old, who is a six-time Grand Slam champion, was seen in the RCB camp in Bengaluru on Monday. She was welcomed by the team’s captain Virat Kohli and coach Simon Katich.
Mirza, who is a brand ambassador for the team, was seen in a bright yellow RCB jersey and was all smiles as she interacted with the players and staff.
The Hyderabad-born tennis star has been a part of the RCB family since the inception of the WPL in 2017. She has been a vocal supporter of the team and has been seen cheering them on from the stands during their matches.
